Relate Counseling Center is a nonprofit community-based mental health center. Relate has been a leading provider of outpatient services to individuals of all ages, couples and families in the western suburbs of Minneapolis since 1969. Relate strives to be in the forefront of identifying needs in the community and providing the best possible care at the lowest cost. Relate Counseling Center is located on the homelands of the Dakota people, which consists of several nations, each with their own geographic territories and languages. Today, Mni Sota Makoce (the state of Minnesota) shares geography with seven federally recognized Native nations. We seek to affirm the sovereignty of these nations and honor their unique cultures, recognizing how the land we occupy cultivates community and connection to the people we serve.
Relate Counseling Center is dedicated to providing high quality outpatient therapy services to children and their families. We are looking for a passionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team and make a difference in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Diagnostic Assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide ongoing psychotherapy services in an outpatient setting.
Offer parent coaching to support treatment goals.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Collaborate with clients and families to achieve therapeutic goals.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in social work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
Independent licensure (e.g. LICSW, LP, LMFT, or LPCC) preferred but not required.
Experience working with children in a clinical setting OR experience working with couples in a clinical setting.
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Job responsibilities include:
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the mental health services for clients
Conduct Diagnostic Assessments and develop related treatment plans
Provide ongoing, developmentally appropriate psychotherapy
Provide relevant parent coaching to meet treatment plan goals
Work with providers through consultation and collaboration to best meet clients’ needs
Maintain ongoing documentation of services
Provide staff training, consultation or other presentations as needed
Salary Range for pre-licensed staff: $60,000+
Salary Range for independently licensed staff: $64,000+
